Bayonetta sold two million copies across two systems- Why do people care about a sequel?

Because I look forward to great games, regardless of their sales prowess.

For example, The Wonderful 101 only sold to like 14 and a half people worldwide including me and Kamiya's grandma, but I'd still be ecstatic if they ever announced a sequel.
