While that is true Noble, a lot of us are also genuinely interested in graphics and technology. Thats a big part of the fun for me when it comes to next gen.

No not necessarily. Quite simply it means that theres a lot of people interested in tech in general...

Whether its the specs of a smartphone, tablet, PC,  console, TV etc.  it doesnt really matter. Its the passion for tech that underlies the interest not the passion for powerful tech.

Most PC guys cant afford high end hardware, hell they cant even afford mid-high end hardware. That doesnt mean they cant be interested in tech. So yeah i see that comment being made a lot on forums but its a very wrong statement to make.

Another example is PS3/360 hardware. That was some of the most interesting hardware consumers had ever seen. PC guys were all over that shit. I know i was.

Edit: And yeah i am a PC gamer. But quite frankly theres a lot of games i prefer to play on my console. Assassins Creed games, racing games, open world 3rd person games like GTA etc. There are also games on consoles that look amazing...exlcusive games especially but there are multiplat games as well. I really have no idea where this notion of "if you interested in graphics then just go get a PC" comes from.
