| Wright said: Interesting...though I pretty much doubt I've ever seen this game on the retail stores over here. Interesting that the design score punctuated more than the gameplay, considering you admitted you enjoyed the game even though being fairly long, but the core mechanics, like platforming or puzzle solving, could use some work. The story feels kinda meh, anyway. But well, kinda the achievement being on the DS (It doesn't excuse all, because there are some other awesome RPGs on the DS).
How can something have the same story as the previous game, while the events are told differently? |
Design got a 7 because even though it had its issues, it was overall really good mostly.
Well a few things. Lexis is a character you meet on Lufia 2, but throughout the entire game he's a character on your ship that moves from place to place. One character that travels with you isn't even in the game. The story based best weapon in the game is acquired completely differently, through the help of one person who wasn't in the first game and a second person when acquiring it who also wasn't in the game. The area you acquire it is the same place, but how you get there is also completely different.
There are just a lot of changes in how its told where some parts are the same, but a lot of parts are completely different. There are other parts in the game as well, but don't want to go through and list each part, so I'll leave it at just the few I've mentioned and say there's more than twice that.
