He's clearly not from Australia, every store I go to they have plenty xBone, JB Hi Fi stores have on average 8 in stocks whereas PS4 are sold out till March/April but you need to be in pre order queue to recieve one. I'm highly likely missing out on Infamous bundle at end of March! |
Same story with the online stores too, JB Hifi are out of stock, Games Men are out of stock. (They get more on the 17th), Dicksmith are out of stock, EB Games are out of stock, Kmart are out of stock, BigW are out of stock of the Playstation 4.
Basically all the major retailers are out of stock, not sure what the situation is like in the capitals though, I don't have the privelage of lots of shopping stores available to me. :P
The Xbox One though is far more readily available, although several places are still out of stock of that console too.
Still, I personally think it's to soon to jump on the next-gen bandwagon, not enough half-decent games, I'm happy to wait untill late this year, my PC is more than ample for my next-generation needs at this point in time.
It's surprising though, cost can't be a massive factor in peoples purchasing decisions this time around, Sony has added more of an Australia Tax than Microsoft has for our country, the difference is almost pointless to mention. (Only $50.)
With that in mind a friend of mine did manage to snag a PS4, he has mixed feelings about all the pro's and con's of the new system, but it's still early days yet.
