It's always better to buy early. That way you have enough time to set it up and get familiar with it. Also you can try out some games you might not have noticed before.
I mean just imagine you finally buy the thing when your favorite game comes out and it's broken so you have to wait at least a week to get it replaced.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
