Eh maybe. I actually think a very significant amount of PSP sales wouldn't have occured if it wasn't due to the fact that you could pirate it.
I know that's how it is with well... just about everyone I know with a PSP.
People who complain about loss of revenue in media when it comes to media players tend to ignore the fact that this boosts hardware by a considerable margin.
Back in around 2004 or 5 the Wall Street Journal did a study where they found that something like 75% of the people buying Ipods would not have purchased Ipods if it was impossible to put music on their Ipod that they didn't get from Cds or Itunes stores. Which was why Apple was turning a blind eye to piracy.
