I agree with that, and at first I was loathe to type "we" etc. when stating my points in my above post.
As for Repulbicans vs Democrats, the Republicans of today are a combination of Democrats from the late 1800s, and insane Neo-Con fanaticals that can be even more big government than today's Democrats, though they lean on the fascist side of things. The Democrats of today...well, I won't get into that.
How would I describe myself? Without using a general label like Republican, etc., I'd say I'm a Jeffersonian with socially conservative leanings.
