It just make sense to release it on PS3 because it was developed for PS2 originally, so a jump to PS4 wouldn't make sense graphically plus the user bases are incomparable.
Except if they start from scratch to make a new version specifically for PS4.
I would've fired the dev. from this SCE team by that time anyway...
