strafing is over-rated, it kills accuracy, and the only thing it proves is who was luckier of the two.

My tip is to spend a few games observing the hotspots on a map and remember them when prefiring while crouched to take the enemy by surprise and give them no chance.

If it happens the other way around you will have no chance because whoever does that has the slight lag advantage.

To minimise other players getting this advantage over you, you should open ports on your router depending on the game and platform you are playing on.

Its is a shame though. I cant wait until the day winning or losing a game online doesnt depend on latency, router settings and server configurations... but its not going to happen anytime soon.
