I will tell you how it worked, MS stole half of Sony's Market, half of there exclusive games and made massive profits over them. Seems like it worked well.

Keep living in the past, who is taking what this gen? MS 2 lone territories they had are now gone. How will MS outsell Ps4 weekly without Europe and japan?
