It's not that surprising to me. The Gamecube actually took quite a long time to be fully cracked as well, but it eventually happened. BR and demand for cracks/mod-chips are the biggest barriers right now(the system with the highest demand logically has the most people trying to crack it). It'll happen though, and then the firmware war will begin. BR winning the format war should expedite the process a bit since burners will become more common/cheaper.
