And that publishers wont let their game be streamed unless its passed its physical sales projections which are usually around the 2 yr mark. It's a logical thought, but I think he great underestimates the amount of consumers that would love to play the older games. He is just not much of a gamer himself and only really cares about what's popular at the moment. |
hes correct about that maybe on one front...the young kids anyone who grew up with the ps2 as the current console probably wont care cause they grew up in the Graphics make games better era. But people my age 32 or older and slightly younger the ones who grew up with atari NES SNES and GENESIS era we love the older games if for nothing more then nostalgia, wish i knew how many bought FF7 for the PS3 older game that is great and many probably rebought the game to play it again. Me i know on my Wii i rebought all the mario games from the SNES and even bought the disc with the collection on it so i rebought them twice. Hell i still have the carts for thos games in my house and can play them on original systems right now if i wanted to.
point im trying to make is hes undervalueing nostolgia by alot.
