Now obviously, there are drawbacks to just having a touch screen for everything, but the persision you get is second only to a mouse. I'd even say it feels better than a Wiimote. Seriously, it feels that good. Now I'm actually considering getting a Steam Machine just for the controller. (and 3rd party games) It's like the perfect blend of a controller and the superior touch pad controls. I actually get what they were thinking now! Seriously, if you have an iphone or android phone, just try Shadowgun (Gears of War mobile clone) or Blitz Brigade (Team Fortress mobile clone). They're both free. Once you get the sensitivity just right, you'll get what I mean. It's seriously insane and embarassing how superior the controls feel to your standard console controller. Console controllers seriously need to start evolving again. I really do hope that the new Steam controller sets a new standard. |
