Also i don't think anyone would complain about these 2 drugs if society was more responsible with them I haven't done pot a lot but it has always been a fun time when i do it and once when i couldn't fall asleep i just lit up and that calmed me down a lot. The problem is a lot of the "gateway" effect is likely just do to the fact that Marijuana is illegal.
When you start doing marijuana because it's illegal you have to go to a dealer. The dealer of course is going to try and push you on to a drug that gets them a higher profit margin and gets you to come back for more etc.
