I doubt it in the long run. Sony have always had shitty launch line ups and pretty mediocre first years (though both MS and Sony have pretty mediocre lineups this year, from whats been announced anyway), but no one has ever been able to challenge Sony is long term home console support. It's one of the primary factors that lead to the PS3 managing to catch up and pass the 360.
