Poor guy.
Well, its not like he didnt have any imput in the work. I would suppose you could still compose music after you stop hearing if you had a computer identificator and memory of the sounds. With some outside help, it could be done.
I feel more sorry for him than anything else. The composer that helped him did a grand gesture. I dont feel cheated at all.
