Kind of, yes. I used to be all about RPGs, though the only reason that changed was because they stopped making them for awhile. Aside from that, I was mostly into third-person action games, which I've mostly lost my desire to play. Button mashers don't really do it for me anymore. The same with fighting games--I used to play games like Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, and Street Fighter every single day but now I can't get into them much.
Fallout 3 was a pivotal game for me. I hated FPS games in previous generations because they were all corridor shooters. Once I got a taste of FPS games where you could play at your own pace, I was hooked. FPS game-play really benefited from the upgrade in graphical ability. Next to RPGs, single-player focused FPS is now my favorite genre.
