I would agree that some of the pronouncements about Titanfall have been on the extreme side. The idea that all the CoD fans will jump to Titanfall does not feel like a forgone conclusion to me. I don't know that it won't be a massive hit but I don't really have any reason to think that it will sell ten million copies, either. If anything, I'm still predicting Destiny will be the biggest new IP of the year.
One thing that's beginning to annoy me, though, is all the FPS hate. I'm a big fan of single-player FPS games, especially with RPG elements, and I'm a bit sick of some people acting as if every single FPS game is a twitch-based competitive multi-player title.
