Everything that speaks UPnP can open and manipulate ports on the router and therefore kill any "security" NAT inherently has. Default should always be NAT-3, in my opinion. You can turn this easily to "NAT-2" by opening the ports manually which is always the best idea. |
Yeap... security and all but I love uPnP... after it I never needed to config router anymore... my brother stopped to ask me how to do the things in the router to works the games.
I really don't care that much with security... I don't have anything confidencial on PC or something like... there are family pictures but not anything xxx too and all pics are published in some public photo site... so I guess that's not my issue.
uPnP works... that's what I need
