I didn't understand why anyone was calling it a great FPS (much less a great Metroid game). It's as if extra points were given just because it's a somewhat competently made FPS on a handheld, which usually doesn't get any notable shooters.

The idea that a game can be considered innovative "for a handheld" when it could've been done many times better on a home console... that doesn't sit well with me.


I thought people actually did like Metroid Prime Hunters.  I never played it, so I wouldn't know.  

I personally think it's a difference in priorities in rating handheld games.  It's really hard to actually determine the "quality" of the game.  It is also hard to know how much someone liked the game as well, so it would be difficult to say exactly what's going on unless someone outright says it.


Some people did. I was not one of them. Also, I think some people do have different standards based on platform. And I try not to be one of them, either.
