I look at it this way. At the end of this gen I will be paying the same price as I did on release for Smash Bros maybe 5 bucks less if I buy it used. Doesn't matter what other game you mention in a few years that wont be the case unless you mentioned another Nintendo game. My friend says this thread so superfluous she's going to go buy a Nintendo game right now.
Not only do people not trade in as many Nintendo games but they also purchase more to boot. They often sell as many games as EA, Ubisoft, Activision and the giant publishers. I can't think of ANY of their games that have retained similar value after 5 years on the market.
