I think people underestimate Donkey Kong, even the gamecube games which were not real platformers and had drums for controllers sold over 1 million, the last game sold over 6 million on Wii and the port over 1 million on 3DS.
In comparison the last Infamous game sold less than 2 million units.
If you only informed yourself on video games message boards you would think Donkey Kong sells much less than F Zero or Metroid.
