It's going to be heavily aimed at senior citizens IMO ... Japan as a country buys more diapers for senior citizens than they do for babies. Japan is a country with a monstrous senior population. US will get there are baby boomers get older. And seniors hold a majority of the wealth in Japan. That and Miyamoto is now into his 60s, probably wants to work on something along these lines these days ... not Star Fox. Nintendo is still very Japan centric in how they think about hardware.

I don't think it will be aimed at senior citizens. QOL will be aimed at everyone. There is a lot more to QOL, so companies in the fitness area aren't really direct competition, because this isn't a fitness machine. It's a "quality of life" machine, that happen's to have a focus on health, as well as many other things. Much like how cell phone games aren't in direct competition with home consoles, because cell phones aren't gaming machines. They're machines that you can also play games on.

And I think that saying that Nintendo is Japan-centric kind of insults a lot of the past "Blue Ocean" success that they've had in North America and Europe. They are a company that knows what it's doing, and has done it before. I'm talking QOL now, not video games. I think that Nintendo is less of a gaming company and more of a "blue ocean" company. I can't think of a single Nintendo product that was widely successful and wasn't using completely unseen hardware to find a blue ocean, even with the NES.
