Microsoft makes most of their most of their money from Windows and Microsoft Office. Out of all their efforts to expand beyond that the Xbox has been the most successful. The Zune and Surface, not so much. The Xbox division is but a drop in Microsoft's earnings but they are not giving it up. They want to expand beyond gaming into all things Entwrtainment.
