Metroid transition from 2D to 3D was well done. If a gradius is also done in 3D it may be good, who knows, depends on the developers. But an old school new one will be good nonetheless.

It ddint seem too bad imo, but I would need to see more screenshots or gameplay videos to elaborate an opinion.
