What is "full" android?
Android OS is based on a mobile platform that is why Android is not available on any type of PC infrastructure ATM.
There is mention of utilizing mobile components and strength within the console itself whereas XBONE and PS4 utilize PC architecture and horsepower.
So just because its hooked up to a TV it is "console"? If I hook my tablet to my TV it doesnt make it a console and it is full android.
Android is an interface. Using it instead of Metro or XMB doesnt make the components any different. If amazon simply made a console and listed radeon or some other GTX, motherboard, GPU's, RAM etc. I would be more inclined to your argument but this reads like it is an extension of Android in the sense of horsepower and innerds.
"The most suitable games for the console are likely to be similar to those currently taking tablet devices by storm, where companies such as Rovio, Supercell, King and Kabam are forging ahead in the free-to-play business with a combination of accessible gameplay and high marketing spend".
"Senior publishing sources have been meeting with Amazon for a briefing on the hardware – which currently goes by a number of different codenames – and popular Android and iOS games have been used to demo the device".
Again, I think you are misinterpreting what Amazon is proposing based on the information contained within the article.
