It's an opinion and like all opinions, he's entitled to it.
My only rebuttal need be: And yet they do.
Hardware moves forward. Software moves forward. It's simply the natural flow of technology. So don't defend or make apologies or excuses for things that aren't keeping with the now.
You don't need to be a tech geek to appreciate games that look sharper and run smoother.
