I don't think that's the case. I just think they're acknowledging that the handheld isn't going to sell as many as the PSP, not that they're giving up on it. Why would they? It's still selling, it does well for Indies, PS4 is a great motive to have one and PSNow is too. The Vita will be around for at least ten years. In what way is someones enjoyment of playing on a Vita ruined by knowing Sony doesn't think it will sell as many as the PSP?
