Has it occured to you that the same leakers are probably not well connected in both companies, and right now MS did put themselves in a relatively bad situation in therms of product position (I.E. The XB1 cost more than the PS4, yet it performs less as far as the main function of the device is concerned, yet they insist on telling everyone that their product is just as good as the main competition... or better... so obviously these things are blowing up in their face)... make the xb1 300$ and nobody will complain anymore.
as far as Sony dirt, right now I am not sure what could happen, not at the same level as all games perform extremely well as well as looking great, people are constantly amazed by what the PS4 put on their TVs, while people keep being disapointed by the XB1... I guess a couple of delays on the important titles could slow down the momentum Sony has... or if the steam machines could run windows games natively... or if Nintendo released a few exclusives on the xb1? or the Sony exclusives were all to suck hard, then there would still be the better multi platform titles...
TL:DR; MS is in a rough situation, Sony is in a good situation as far as gaming goes... so the news reflect this, it can turn around, things change.
