someone please build a ouya-likey thing but without processor, just a I/O controller. Let me connect my smartphone to it. just a small box that's connected to my tv and maps the controller input to the phone.

there is no need for a dedicated android console when there are already shitloads of smartphones out there.

So basically you want a phone with an HDMI port, just hook it up with a cable to a TV and map a PS3/whatever controller and bam.

maybe that is what i am thinking of now. well it's not like i really want that because most of the games for android aren't good. i haven't found a game with any depth yet, maybe it's because touch only controls. but a home 'station' (its not really a console) could expand the possibilities for developers.

honestly i think apple / samsung should do what i described. it has to be a buyable, advertisable product from one of the big players to succeed.

There are a lot of emulators on android including PSOne/N64/GBA/SNES/etc, I use my GS4 as a portable console I take with me when I feel like playing on a big screen. Also, games like MC4 are really fun and have controller support, I use my MOGA Pro
