NT Kernel is the service which separates the user actions from the critical OS functions. IE; it is the wall between the people who can fuck things up and the delicate core flower.
Then, you rearrange the letters to get nktrnl, or noctornal...which is a reference to mystery and behind the scenes.
So what you get is someone who is behind the scenes guardian of the core industry.
I would guess that this is a person who has been with the company a long time, and is throwing their round table ideas into the forum world to show how people react. I'm guessing this person is vehemently against disc-less box, and is trying to mock the idea, possibly a sarcastic-type humor. Maybe recently passed up for promotion or bonus by some young whipper-snapper.
