EVERY video game console is, at its most basic function, a toy. It´s something to play with.

My original threads were about how Nintendo does too much to focus on children and the casual audience. The threads were never about the definition of toy, but Nintendo fans sure loved to pretend that's what they were about :D

So you should change the title to "The Wii was aimed to children and casuals" instead of "was a toy". As you said, if the threads were not about the definition of of "toy", then you shouldn´t bring that matter to the table here, because it diverges from what you´re arguing

It's your choice to derail the thread and break forum rules, not mine.

Words don't have to be used in strict semantic fashion. I could say "the movie was a blast". You don't have to come in and talk about explosions.

Derail what ? You´re the one who wrote that your threads weren´t about toys, if there´s someone here derailing something, it´s just you.

Learn the difference:  A product aimed at "casuals" and children is one thing.  It can be a movie, a Tv program, a book, etc. A product defined as a toy is another thing. Board games, action figures, card games. That doesn´t mean a single product may fit both definitions. And videogames can fit that properly, no matter which brand it is. Every videogame console is a toy at its essence
