They are mature. They contain blood and violence and sometimes nudity. These types of games attracts a lot of children, but that doesn't make them for children. That's like calling porn for kids just because lots of kids watch porn.

Maturity isn't based on how much blood is shed when you cut a person's head, nor how many naked chicks are in the game. Saints Row has a lot of violence and partial nudity, but it doesn't make the game mature. Bioshock, for example, has a lot of violence, but that violence is handle in a very mature way.

You also don't need violence or nudity to make something mature.

Yes I hear this a lot. Nintendo's games aren't mature if that's what you're getting at.
