I wouldn't really call it "Future Proof" Chances are I'll upgrade next year like I do every year, I get it heavily discounted anyway because of work.
7680x1440 is incredibly demanding. (That's more pixels than 4k).
I had to "downgrade" allot of games when I was running three Radeon 7970's.
