I always hear that as an excuse these days. The reality is that both systems are built on a commonly used architecture. Sure, games that come out in 12-18 months will have learned to use each systems "secret sauce" and be optomized for the systems better.
i am not actually disappointed in the graphics of the xb1 or ps4. I am actually more disappointed in knowing that there could have been much more to this generation. If developers are gimping games now, what will happen in 2-3 years? I know that compromises start with graphics and then they will have to change gameplay to keep a minimum graphics standard at some point.
It is near the end of the end....
