That was speculation based on the one pic because of the isomaetric view in the cutscene. It's official listing is just RPG, and apparently another pic from the scan is supposed to be on a 2D plane like traditional VP gameplay.
So to clear things up for people:
- This is a brand new Valkyrie Profile, it isn't a port
- The genre is listed as RPG
- The subtitle is "The Accused One"
- tri-Ace is indeed developing this game
- It will most likely contain large amounts of Win and Awesome
