I don't care if you do, but thing is many prominent posters on both sides of the console war agree with me. We do not believe every news that is spoonfed to us. Common sense dictates given MS's history and frankly, if it isn't a quarterly statement (which by law have to be truthful), then I wouldn't take what EA says as gospel.
You seem to want to believe anything that discredits Xbox, but let's throw some lovely facts your way.
- Gears of War 1 opened to 1 million sales in its first 2 weeks. Due to 360 being out for a year and during the holiday season, it sold 3 million in 10 weeks. Between 360/X1/PC, it should have no problems with similar opening numbers.
- A more comparable game would be Ghost Recon, as it was a March 2006 game considered 360 centric while being a PC/last gen game title. It opened to 227k in opening week and sold 1.5 million on 360 lifetime. Not bad. Future installations of the GRAW IP favour 360 (missing data in GR 2 but it did sell just under 2 million).
- Another example of a March 2006 title is Oblivion, a 360/PC title at the time, which was very much anticipated. It opened to 327k opening week and went on to sell 4.12 million compared to PS3's 2.91 million. Skyrim, the sequel, sold 7.77 million to PS3's 5.24.
Just saying that Gears numbers are attainable with 3 platforms to sell on and X1 sales alone should compare to what 360 did with GRAW and Oblivion. Though sequels to Titanfall will paint a different picture with PS4 leading the instal base, it does show the potential in securing a young IP.
Paying for third party exclusivity is not good for anyone - False. It benefits the winning party. Sony has been paying for Assassins Creed exclusive content for a while......recently with Destiny. You really gotta do your homework if you plan to have the stance that your favourite corporation is squeaky clean.
