"In reporting its financial results for the quarter, Microsoft got a little more specific regarding Xbox One sales for the year, revealing 3.9 million Xbox One consoles were shipped in the second quarter. That means 3.9 million was the total number of units shipped in 2013 for the new console. But remember, units shipped is not the same as units sold. Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that it had sold over three million Xbox One consoles in 2013, compared to the PlayStation 4's 4.2 million sold." in addition note athor Matt Liebl fun fact. He wrote both. So he clearly knows the difference. |
Oh come on!!, to read that you need to click another link, that's the point. What matters is what you read in that article. If the author uses another article to explain the "3m sold" doesn't matter a bit, because most people that read the original article don't see the other. They just read "Since their release, the PS4 has sold 4.2 million consoles worldwide while the Xbox One sold 3.9 million.".
The author should have made the statement in both articles....If article A says a lie, but if in article B says a truth, doesn't change the fact A is wrong.
