Titanfall will not suffer that badly simply by design. It's a much smaller scope and there will be fewer players in the matches and overall. If EA/Respawn fuck this up then I don't know what they will ever do right.
I'm still skeptical of the NPCs though. If there is any upset about the game, they're probably the source of it.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
