So this means that everyone on Iceland now has a PS4? Just kidding. :P
But on a more serious note.
Let's say you live in Reykjavik for example, the population there is about 100 000 inhab. and 1 000 out of them bought a PS4. That is 1 out of 100 or 1% of everyone in Reykjavik.
And let's say that the average family is made up of 4 persons, two parents and two children. 100 000/4 = 25 000, which makes it 25 000 families.
So if we take 1 000/25 000 = 0,04, which means that 4 percent of all families in Reykjavik now has a PS4. All in theory of course.
USA has a population of 300 000 inhab. and the PS3/Xbox 360 sold approx. 80 million in total until the next generation started.
80 000 000/300 000 000 = 0,27, which makes it that 27% of everyone in the USA bought either a PS3 or Xbox360 during the whole generation(7-8 years).
