Well, I for one don't think this is a brilliant idea. A sub-$100 video/music streambox, with Android games as a side benefit, I would expect to do well. A $300 game system from Amazon leveraging their Amazon Prime streaming as a side benefit? I'm not confident.
I feel like the people who are certain it's a good idea might be understanding something I do not. But also I feel like there's a chance they are seeing something that isn't there. I guess time will tell.
