Games now are not equal to game back then, back then things like depth of story and free roaming world were something new, today these things don´t impress me as much as back then, all these better graphics and sound don´t impress me as much bacause they are a natural developement, games back then had something much more important: personality and personality goes a long way, is timeless and cannot be improved on. If you had two kids, lets say they are twinns, would you like the pretty athletic one over the one with personality ??? |
So, games don't impress you now as much as they did back then for no discernible reason except "personality" (which is an intellectually lazy argument if I've ever heard one). How is that not nostalgia again?
I'm not even touching the bad analogy.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
