when i was a kid always played Genesis and SNES equally(not much) and didnt have a brand that i liked most. i was mostly a ARCADE and PC gamer. and i had a Game boy of course.
when all 3 consoles(N64, Saturn and PSx) were in the market by holiday 1996 i had to choose. at first i was interested in PSx the most, but looking at the catalogue i didnt find any game i thought i must have.i liked Porsche challenge and Resident evil but that was it, i wasnt a Ridge racer fan and Tekken was fairly lackluster compared to Tekken 2 that i was playing at the ARCADES.
Then suddenly when i was about buying PSx just because Saturn was crap (sorry), a couple of friends that were diehard Nintendo fans said they were buying N64, they told me that was way more powerful and cheaper also. and i bught N64.
I didnt know what to expect really. I was blown away. Having played Psx games and way more advanced games on the ARCADES and PC for years, the experience i got from Mario 64, ISS 64, Wave race, Goldeneye, Banjo kazooie...etc. blew me away so much that i decided to stick with Nintendo for the next generation with the GC....
and it didnt dissapoint!!! not at all. RE games, Metroid Prime games, F-Zero, Mario and Zelda reinvented and a fair share of multiplats did it so well for me with GC that i didnt feel the need to buy a PS2.
Then Wii came and everybody bought it. Loved it too. Lots of good original games, plus many games that wouldnt have seen the light on GC otherwise were ported to Wii successfully which was a bonus (Manhunt2, Bully, Scarface, The Godfather, Fatal frame 2, Obscure 2...).
Im a happy and proud Nintendo user that doesnt feel the need of buying any other console since Nintendo provides me my ultimate entertainment.
Ive been a Nintendo + PC gamer all this years and it works for me so well that i dont even think on ever buying other consoles.

PD: The first game i played was a game for the Amstrad that i dont remember which was it. i remember it was a movie Licensed game. Indiana, Batman...i cant remember honestly. Then Mario bros.
My first PC game was Transport Tycoon which was awesome.
