The game was done by two different studio's. There's going to be differences. Look at Lara's shirt two different colors. They are not going to be exactly the same. Nothing to do with the hardware.

That doesn't change the fact that the PS4 version looks far better.

Looks almost exactly the same to me. So unless you're judging which is better by the color of her shirt.

pretty obvious difference even on compressed internet videos/screens.  You are either seeing what you want, or have poor eye sight.

Sure there are differences visually but they're small and you'd only ever notice them while looking at side by side screenshots. They're not the kind of differences that you'll ever notice while actually playing the game. I just watched another side by side video and I noticed no noticeable differences. That's a marked difference compared to release titles, I noticed differences during video footage in BF4 and AC IV. It looks to me like the Xbox One might be closing the gap some, and there are insider rumors that Microsoft's Xbox One API is unfinished and may be causing a decent sized portion of what gap remains, if that's the case the gap will close some more as the API is improved. There will always be a gap between Xbox One and PS4, the GPU difference can never be fully overcome, but I think one day we'll see the gap about as small as it was between 360 and PS3 on multiplat games. Microsoft still has some overclocking headroom, even if it will never fully close the power difference between the GPU's.

Not this again... There is no magic in technology. The 360 and ps3 was massively different, where 360 had numerous advantages. The gap in GPU is a lot bigger this time, and ps4 is also easier to code for. Bigger gap, easier to code for better memory. There is no magic overclocking, or secret technique MS can do to make the gap almost nill. This is not last gen where x1 has a cell processor that when used can be very powerfull.

The gap if anything will get bigger , these are largely less demanding launch titles and last gen ports.  Ps4 has as much over clocking room, and being in a closed system in a  small box leaves little room for overclocking now, it's too late. Nor willa  tiny over clock do anything with the GPU compute advantage ps4 has.
