You would save money but no, it's a hobby and hobbies are there to waste money on. While Permalite's argument is that in order to save money, just don't spend it, he ignored the second sentence of my post. What you are doing is paying to play many more games than you'd normally be able to afford, not because you think "Man, that's a great deal, I'll save myself loads of moolah." (You do talk like that right?) But because the service offers what you need and what you enjoy, that is to play games and lots of them.
Buying those games one buy one just to find out they are rubbish would cost you a lot, the PS+ service allows you to get all that for a lot less and maybe potentially experience games you wouldn't have normally.
