Monster Hunter has become the Call of Duty of Hunting games. Vita doesn't need it. Honestly, Soul Sacrifice is better, Toukiden is almost a clon of Monster Hunter, and God Eater 2... well he's right on that one. I never liked God Eater either, and GE2 looks pretty much the same. Freedom Wars seems interesting, but I can't tell if it's better until I play it.
Also, there are more hunting games coming for the Vita: Soul Sacrifice Delta, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, Phantasy Star Nova, Monster Hunter Frontier G.

=( At the hate on God Eater. God Eater 2 has alot of skills and customisation.
With that said, i only played the demo of the second one. Just like Soul Sacrifice it might get grindy and repetitive towards the end. Thats pretty much the problem with the genre.
Speaking about all this... i will flip if PSO2 finally gets (re)announced.
