You only reinforce my point with the first paragraph. |
Your right it is 2 years my time flys.
But the reason youve not seen retail on PS4 yet has nothing to do with the fact that they now charge for online, there just is no back catalogue yet. With Vita they just waited 6 months before they included it in PLUS, this is what MS are doing with the X One. This time Sony have decided to give away brand new indie games for the first 6 months till there is a back catalogue of retail games to choose from, as they often give away brand new indie titles on PS3 and Vita too.
Drive club is a PS+ edition, becuase they have NEVER given a retail game away free on its launch. This is just a special case most likely a trial to see how many people will pay to upgrade to the full version.
So there is no evidence to suggest Sony is going to scale back on there offering just because there charging for online now. If anything the evidence points to the opposite as in the last 10 months the PS3 games have just got better and better.
What i think will happen over the next 12 months from E3 onwards is they will scale up the PS4 games, while scaling down the PS3 games to try and get more people to upgrade to the PS4.
