I don't think any Bioware game but 1 I've played has done romances right. I've never really felt ME romances were any good, sure the character interaction was good but half way through a conversation of limited choices your character would suddenly 'come on' to the character, or in the case of ME3 just do them because they are the only option (seriously, only gay guy on the ship who is still recovering from a relationship and male Shep has to bang him? really?)
The only romance in a game that has been done well was Dragon Age Origins because really you didn't know what you were doing. The lines were not colour coded to be correct, you could say something and they'd get angry. There were options for all types of relationships. It felt like a game within a game. In DA2, it had a heart to choose on the wheel. What effort is that?
