I kind of agree, to some extent.
Obviously some visual fidelity is going to increase the quality of the experience, but it does not change the core of the experience.

Its like watching a film on DVD, and then watching it on 4K,
the difference is noticible and you will say "oh, the 4K looks way better" but that is about it
The movie experience is not changed.
These are my feelings about the "graphics war" in gaming.

Additional: If you are a graphics fanatic, why not game on a PC?
1080p 60FPS is pretty standard nowadays.

Fully agree, except on the PC part.

To me I like the art side of it. There's an art to making a game look great on consoles. There's an art to it on PC too, but due to the much better specs it's way less impressive.

I'm strange though.

Yeah i totally get what youre saying,

and im far more likely to play a game for an interesting art style than resolution.

I game mainly on PC because i love strategy games, which means i play all 3rd party games on PC as well just because i have a gaming PC, not because of the increased graphical power.

If i didnt have a PC i would invest in a PS4 because its cheaper than building a PC from scratch, and SONY has alot of interesting IP's that i would like to play
