Games that people/critics were too harsh on?

Gravity Rush
An 9.5/10. A very innovative game and as close to a masterpiece as I can think. People thought that the combat is shallow, but I think that's only a part of the game. I absolutely loved the experience, thought the battle was decent and fell in love with the main character and with the entire world they created. I believe that reviewers were hating on vita at the time and nothing seemed to impress them no matter what.

Ryse was an amazingly horrible game, even as a rental.  Gravity Rush is one of the best new IP's of the gen, any console, IMO.

Well, since we agree on GR's awesomeness, I might end up not liking it. But I've been dying it to try it on my own. I just can't see how it can't even be dumb fun.

It passes for dumb violent fun, but the fighting system is PISS poor.  It is so boring.  Bad enough getting to the end is tough, and the game is really short.  You can't miss the executions it just does them automatically for you over and over again.  You'll  see what I'm saying when you play it.
